I would like to encourage all Pre-Dental students to sign up for the UNLV SDM Simulation course 2013.
You will be Working in UNLV SDMs advanced pre-clinical laboratory, gaining valuable hands on experience and will discover what the preclinical portions of dental school are really like.
The course will also help to confirm your interest in dentistry and make you a stronger applicant!
During the course you will:
Make typodont impressions and pour them in stone
Use a high speed dental handpiece and other dental instruments
Prepare cavity restorations
Fill cavity preparations using both amalgam and composite
Identify normal dentition
Model a central incisor in wax
Earn a certificate of course completion
Meet the Assistant Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs and Faculty on the Admissions Committee
May 31-June 1, 2013 (Fri.-Sat.)
June 14-15, 2013 (Fri.-Sat.)
Fee: $200 (includes lunch both days)
Each course is limited to 76 students, so we encourage to sign up early.
