Has anyone who has interviewed at UNLV recently called to see when the admission committee is going to meet to send out second round acceptances?
 
I hear its going to be beg of Feb
 
Take this for what it's worth but I have friend that interviewed there last Thurs and he said that the 2nd round acceptances were sent out Jan 18th. The committee will be meeting early Feb to fill up the rest of the spots in the 3rd round decisions. I will find out for myself next week (I interview there on the 31st).
 
i called jan 14th and i was told that the 2nd round would not be finished until the first week of feb. due to some adcomms not returning in time for the jan 15th round?
 
I do have a hard time believing that since nobody has updated predents with an acceptance date other than early December. In previous years on predents it looks like people started hearing about second round acceptances in late January or early February. Also, in previous years it looks like about 32% of those interviewed (and used predents) were accepted. This year it is only 14%. Who knows, I might be totally wrong, but hopefully we'll find out something soon!

Yeah, I talked to Dr. B last week and he told me that they hadn't even met yet to discuss how many 2nd rounders they would be sending out. He said that it was likely that nobody would hear back until the 1st or 2nd week of February. Also, I had a friend write Christine Ancajas and her response was that they couldn't tell him how many and when she would send out acceptances. I still say that they are probably meeting now and early next week and that they'll send out at the end of next week.
 
I interviewed there yesterday. Dr Ancajas said there are 50 deposits in and they will send out 40 more invitations total, including in state, about 25 of them around the second week of Feb.

I interviewd there in mid December, and I havn't heard anything yet. Do they send emails too or is it just via mail that they send acceptences?

Has anyone recently confirmed with the adcoms when they are meeting. I hear some rumors on Feb. 15th, but when I interviewed there they said the last week in Jan. or the first week in Feb.

I was told Feb 15th a few days ago when I called to check my application.
 
Anyone else heard anything else about their 2nd round? I'm crossing my fingers.
 
I was told to call this upcoming Friday to hear something.
 
My friend just recently called Dr. B and found out from him that he was on the list.

I won't tell you that they won't get annoyed but I've heard of two people so far who have called Dr. B and found out that their name was on the list. That said, it is apparent that they do have a putative list on hand. I see no reason why, if you really want to go to UNLV, you should feel hesitant to call. I would just call him and see. What can it hurt?

I just called, they are still working on it.

Anyone heard anything back? Do you have to call in or are they calling/emailing acceptances?
 
I know in first round they just sent snail mail so I had to call in. They did change my aadsas thing nov 30th though.

Good to know the school update status through aadsas. But aadsas is down or doesn't allow applicants to login.
 
you can log in and check your status. it was down for a couple days, but now just a smaller screen comes up w/status options.
 
I just checked and AADSAS is not up... ?!!
 
well I interviewed there mid december, I just called and they did have my statue, No Decision 😡, so I think if you call they'll have the answer, just call them up .
 
I just talked to Dr. B today, and he told me that they're only reviewing in-state residence this round, and that out-of-state residence will hear back 3 weeks from now. Was anyone else told this? I'm so confused.

That can't be right because the people that I know who found out that their names were on the list for the 2nd round are not even Nevada residents.
 
At my interview on Jan 31st they said they were reviewing on Feb 15th... and we were all out of state kids (about 95% from california). Surpringly, I was the only one from BYU.



Anyway... So I think Dr. B is throwing you a loop.

Denticus... quick Q... what were your friends DAT scores?
 
I got an acceptance call from Dr. Brownstein today. I am both a California and Nevada resident (went to HS in Nevada and college in CA), and I'm not certain whether calls were made only to NV residents.
 
I got a call from Dr. B today he left me a message saying he wanted to talk to me about my app, but did not give any further details. I wonder if they would bother calling me if they were going to give me a rejection?

Sounds like an acceptance to me... Congrats. are you in state or oos?
 
I'm out-state(CA), called today they said they have reached no decision and will re-review in 3 weeks, sounds more like a nice rejection. what do you think?
 
I'm a NV resident, but I applied late and there doesn't seem to be many more in state spots left

Hey Airsimon, sorry for taking so long. One friend had a 19 ACA and I have no clue about the other one...school friend. Anyway, good luck!

Woohoo, I got an interview! Hopefully it's not too late in the game. There's still hope of living somewhere warm for the next 4 years haha!
 
I called today. They told me that everyone was notified yesterday and they won't meet again to make decisions for another month.

Yup I got an email from Dr. Ancajas saying they reviewed mostly in-state applicants and there next meeting will be sometime in March to go over the rest of the applicants. I'm sure they're pretty close to full by now though.

I've only heard of one person getting accepted to UNLV from our interview group NewMexDent! Where's the love...not that I really care at this point because I'm set on VCU.

I don't know, maybe they forgot about us. It's weird to think that they are still offering interviews, yet we are still waiting. I must have done really bad at my interview...maybe I shouldn't have kicked my interviewer in the shin.
 
did they email/call to give you an offer?
 
There should still be a fair amount of oos spots left because when I interviewed there were only around 13 oos deposits in. Since they primarily filled in state spots this round that number should be about the same. They take around 25 out of state.
 
i just called and they said no decision still.... they're meeting again in two weeks. 👎
 
For those of you in the past... does no deicision mean rejected?
 
I also heard at school today (take it for what it's worth) that they only sent out 2 oos acceptances yesterday.
 
Life is so unfair right now. Why can't a school just take me? I think I'm going to sit on the couch with a tub of ice cream and watch the movie Accepted.

I think your stats are quite good. I don't see why you won't get accepted.
