anyone interview after dec. 1 and waiting to hear back?! i interviewed mid-jan and i'm waiting to hear back later this week. called today and they said the committee is meeting tomorrow, acceptances will be sent out and you can call on friday to find out your status. anyone else waiting?!??!
 
Yay! I am waiting to hear back as well! When did you interview? I just had mine on Thursday, so I'm hoping the committee looks over us too 🙂

I just called them right now and they said that they will hopefully have some news for us on Thursday. They met today but I guess they want to meet again in 2 days. Either way good luck to everyone!
 
UNLV is one of the schools out of the 19 I applied to that I have yet to hear anything from ...

Its Brandon, from micro. I figured it had to be you since you were the only other reno person that interviewed that day. Congrats on the acceptance!! I still have not heard and its driving me crazy.:scared:
 
Those of you that are in reno, Dr. Ancajas (Directer of Admissions) will be at UNR's Pre-Dental Club meeting this Sunday night (Feb 8th). Just a thought.

to save you guys the trouble, i called this morning to ask about the status of my application (i interviewed in january) and they told me they cant release that info till tomorrow. 😎
 
No more interviews for me. Just waiting to hear from creighton or unlv. This is the most painful experience i have ever been through. So it sounds like you have decided on unlv huh?

I am also waiting for UNLV...it has been a rough process but hopefully it will all be worth it. Good luck tomorrow everyone! 👍

Did you call creighton ? or UNLV? You should call them today or later soon! Let's hope for the best! You will get in1 Even if they do not accept you, don't be sad about it becuase they are losing one of the best future dentists in the world 🙂. Keep your head up! 👍

I am waitlisted at UCSF. # 38...😱 not a good chance to get in 😀. Oh well... but it is ok! They are gonna regret it that they are losing me 😛.


I am not 100% sure that I really want to go UNLV. I know UNLV is a great school, but I still want to keep my options open until May. I have two more interviews to go, but I don't think I am gonna go to OHSU (too much money🙁). My sis and I've got an interview at midwestern! Next Tue! Double luck for us :xf::xf:.
 
Just got a call from Dr. Brownstein and Dr. Ancajas I'm in 🙂 Now the hard part deciding between UNLV and Colorado....any suggestion?
 
I also just got the call, right after I joined the Tufts facebook group too 😛 Now I have a hard decision to make...

No, they originally told me to call tomorrow. So I think they just called some people. Dr.Ancajas and I have been in touch for over a year now so she know me pretty well. Call tomorrow, do not lose hope! 👍

has anybody been able to call and find out their status today? i was told that we could call today, but haven't been able to get ahold of anybody in the admissions office. anybody else with my same problem? if you have gotten through, what number did you call?

Try (702) 774-2520. Kristen answered and told me straight up.
 
i called earlier today, and surprisingly was able to get through. i am apparently "on hold"...is that a good thing?? they told me to call back next week on wednesday..does that mean the committee is meeting again NEXT tuesday?? im so stressed :scared:
 
"On hold" just means they have not made a decision on your file yet. It is not a bad thing, it means they did not reject you. When I called in December, I was also "on hold". They reviewed my file again last week and I got in. So keep the hope alive!

how do u guys feel about living in "vegas" and having "weirdos" as your patients when clinic time comes? i've spoke to some students and my interview and got kinda worried when i heard of all these crazy stories about how hard it is to keep their patients' appt's bc they are weirdos, erratic, druggies, alkies, etc... iono...any thoughts on the neighborhood? also, my cousin goes to unlv law school there. she just recently got robbed at her gated condo. the next day, they came back for her car! :-/....
