"On the Bubble" - You're not in anywhere. You're not assured to get into any school (so if you have had 20 interviews and just haven't heard back yet, you are not on the bubble). I'm talkin 0-5 interviews, multiple rejections, lots of nervous waiting. You know who you are. You check SDN's interview feedback and realize that you've already covered all the feedback for the schools you have interviews for. There is something wrong with your app and you wake up in the middle of the night thinking about it. The word GPA sends shivers down your spine. You go home every day praying that there isn't a thin envelope wiating for you. You're on the bubble. It could go either way for you, one way to a joy that you dare not think about, while another way means you have to do it all over again. What do we do?
We want to be doctors, we know we can be excellent physicians, we just need that chance. And these freakin admission committees take all the time in the world. What the hell does "under review" mean anyway? You just haven't taken the time to look at my application? What the hell are you doing with my money? I need to get back to work, but let's hear it from the bubble people. This is where you can rant and rave about the admissions process and maybe feel a little bit better. Also feel free to exchange ideas about different strategies to get off "the bubble."
= official smily of the Bubble.
