Unopposed OB/GYN programs?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Not sure if this is a stupid question or not but: Are there any unopposed Ob/Gyn programs?

I am confused. Are you referring to Family Medicine residency prgm's that are unopposed meaning that there are no OBGYN residents at the hospital and thus FM residents are then first assist on operations. You might want to ask this question in the FM forum then. If this is not what you are refering to then I don't have an answer.

Uhhh...no- that's not what I asked. I'm asking if there are any unopposed OB/GYN residencies (meaning no other residents in the hospital)...My guess is no, but I wanted to make sure.

I doubt it and it would make no difference anyway.

There are several programs which are unopposed or close to that. My personal experience has been with the FSU Program in Pensacola at Sacred Heart. The OB/GYN and Peds are the sole residency programs at the hospital (in fact sole programs in town if you don't count the military programs nearby).

Good luck!

yeah. i really don't know how an unopposed obgyn program will help. why are you interested in such programs?

Hmmm a hospital with no other residents. . . that doesn't sound like much fun.. . . . seems like a hospital with more residency programs would have more resources. . . .
