it has to be D. the other holes don't fit. to me it's just kind of a logical thing (that's not a good explanation i know, but as dentalWorks said, that'd be my quick answer)

Well, if you take that object, rotate it 90 degres to the right. It will look like 2 rectangles connected by a "bridge" and the bridge extends out only from the right side. So, D first that description.

This is more of a "which four of these canNOT be the answer" rather than "which one of these is the answer."

A couple of these popped up on my DAT, where you don't know what the answer is, but you can find out by eliminating what the answer CANNOT be.

I found this problem to be quite simple actually. Not unreasonable at all. Maybe cause Im used to some of the ridiculously unfair questions the CrackDatPat software has.
