Hi SDN, I don't know which schools I should apply to. I'd love to stay in California, but judging from how last cycle went for my friends, anything can happen. :nailbiting:

I'm a Bio major, my overall and science GPAs are 3.9/3.9 and my DAT is 22AA/21TS/23PAT/24RC. Residency is California.

I was a peer tutor and coordinator for the general chemistry program at my school, volunteered at the hospital, did research for 2 years with a published paper, research fellowship, and I have 110 shadowing hours with a general and pediatric dentist.

Any opinion is greatly appreciated! :joyful:

I'd be pretty surprised if those stats and extracurriculars don't get you into a few California schools, especially if you're coming from a competitive college. You'd be highly appealing to all of them except maybe UCLA because your DAT is just a tad below their averages, but I believe your GPA still gives you a great shot. You can get the ADEA guide and look at the out of state interview/acceptance rates, GPA/DAT averages, etc. for all the schools. It's hard to tell you which ones to apply to because people desire different things (specializing, class size, location, research, etc.). Apply as early as possible, get good recs, and write a badass statement. The interviews should roll in quick. Good luck!
