With medical school applications opening for the 2020 year, I was planning on giving it a shot, but after I've read up on how the AMCAS and AACOMAS calculates my GPA, I'm not so sure anymore. Here's my story.

I've spent a few of my undergraduate years not really caring, not motivated, and thus, had really bad grades. By the time I got around to trying to fix it, I was already years down the bad grade trend. Had multiple course retakes, and got my undergrad significantly longer than 4 years. After I finished my undergrad, I took a couple years' worth of post-bacc courses, as my college didn't have a formal post-bacc program. Got As and Bs, but definitely not enough to bring my overall GPA that much due to the mistakes I've made. Now, after having taken so many credits, I can't afford to take any more classes, as the university says I'm over the attempts, and they're increasing my cost per credit. I've managed to calculate my AMCAS GPA, and it's below. It includes my retakes.

I've managed to score a 505 on my most recent MCAT: (128/127/126/124)

As for ECs, I've done the following:
-2 years research at university
-~1000+ hours of paid medical work as a scribe.
-400 hours as a hospital volunteer
-300 hours of physician shadowing
-Multiple leadership positions, as well as the president/founder of a uni organization.
-400 hours of community service.

At this point, should I even bother applying to any programs? Is medical school out of my reach? I feel as if my past academic performance has really trapped me into a corner, and I'm not sure what to do anymore.
What was your GPA in JR, SR and postbac year?

MCAT is too low for MD as a reinventor, but fine for DO
