Found out today after having already paid the school and three weeks into class that my private student loan was denied. Turns out my income to debt service ratio isnt good enough (duh, im not working im going to school).

Any better ways to get financed out there?

That was my first hurdle too. Best I could figure out was work part time doing something that pays decent, have a cosigner or enroll as post-bac so you have a program and can apply for student loans. I elected to work part time (~32 hours) and go to school. It can be done in about 2 years.

im thinkiing about finishing this semester, doing next semester on credit and taking the DAT, apply to d school, get a job during fall semester instead of taking classes, and then if i get in ill then figure out how to take whats left of the pre reqs.

desperate times call for desperate measures

Why don't you apply for the government loans?

stafford..grad plus...etc

i already have a masters degree

That shouldn't matter should it? On the stafford, can't you borrow up to 224k for health occupations? You may have to go unsubsidized but you should be able to get the money.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

I believe you are correct. There is also the grad plus loan, which covers any additional expenses that the stafford doesn't.

i think youre right, but im doing a post bacc not towards any degree so it wont count as health.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'll most likely max out on stafford loans if i go to the private school I was accepted to. I paid for all of my college...undergrad and 2 year masters...with these loans so 224K will probably be all used up!
