unusual terminology of KAPLAN

Since my online kaplan DAT expire soon, On now days, I am trying to finish my practice test. Seeing Kaplan explanation in chem section, I got curiosity that real dat approach question like the way of Kaplan, because kaplan is using tricky number like 0.569 or someting like this in calculation. And they end up with saying that 0.67 is sufficiently close to 0.87 . I do not really think so it is not close at all. Does real DAT is similar to Kaplan? I hope not..

I want to hear some thoughts on Kaplan online source specially about those calculations.
