Is anybody in same situation as me?😕
I applied through CAAPID but sent the supplemental documents in March,so that it would have got there a week before the deadline.I haven't received any email saying my application was complete or not.I sent a couple of emails to the admissions officer, but no reply.Does this mean my application was not complete?
I am worried as many people are getting interview calls....:scared:😱

@ toothfairyqueen & dentluv

I am in same boat, haven't heard a word from them since my caapid and supplemental application, no response in trying to call / emaliing them. GOSH...reapplicants please let us know is this normal for UOC to ignore applicants' querries ! God help us all . Good luck to those who got interview call.

thanks riki for those words.... good luck to you too... yeah we would get the call too 🙂 keep praying..

After all... patience paid off... Interview on 7th May. I live outside US. Had applied early this year. NBDE I 85, TOEFL 114, GPA 4 . Ur stats r also gud toothfairyqueen.... wish u get the call soon 🙂

Thanks 4 being supportive all along, friends.. !!
God bless u all 🙂

congrats to all those who got it .........i m still waiting ......do anybody know uptil when uoc sends interviews ..........the email from miller jane to me stating completion of application says that they call for IVs till end of may
people here are saying something different .......do anybody have any last year experience about uptil when do they call
fingers crossed ....lets wait and watch ......good luck everyone :xf:😳

@:toothfairyqueen and ddsmsd
IA you will get call too hope for the best! Best of luck!

Congrats for those who got the IV. Colorado sends invitation by e-mail. They send letters later when you confirm the appointment which has information about the bench test and interview. This is what they did last year. Hopefully its the same procedure this year too!!

Hi !! Does anyone know what is expected in the wax carving exercise ?
Please reply, guys !!

Hi,

I am also waiting since long time to get interview call,
got completion mail way back in November
Lets see
Keeping Faith

i am thinking.. apart from those who got admission.. how many ppl must be still waiting for IV??? i dont know i just feel a notion.. that there arent many remaining for this cycle.. as colorado is the last school for application...

what u guys say??

Please reply, guys !!

The wax exercise is easy. You have to make different shapes like circle or square with wax on cardboard. It is usually 2mm in width or given dimensions. They provide the carver. Don't worry abt the wax exercise, focus more on crown prep and class 2.
All the best..!!👍

I would disagree with Avnik. Wax excercises can take more time and be challenging. so be carefull. everything in the bench test has equal weight.

what are you talking about?
there is no admission yet, the admission can not be before people do the interview first, then they get addmitted.

@ dental2009....

i mean that since colorado is the last dental school as per the dead lines are concerned... there might be very less ppl remaining for it...

as like most of the students who got accepted from west coast, east cost schools and other ....they wont be coming here even for interview...

so practically.. those who did not got anywhere else.. and those who gave NBDE late...and werent able to apply to other schools might be applying here.. and expecting IV...

thats what i meant... what you think?

anybody for the jun 11th batch (male lukin for accommodation)

@ dontist; i think the pool this yr was 800-900,so many people r in waiting

so sad.. we have more conpetition.. 🙂

I will say that wax will take very much time . There are chances to break it or to mess it up very bad. For crown ppn. you have to use high speed handpiece so it doesnot take much time if you practice, but waxes take a lot more time.

@ dental 2009

They do not provide matrix bands. But people have brought their own and used before. This time not sure if they will allow.

Any One else got interview Call lately..?

Hi all.....

ok, i ws jus reading the posts on the bench test details.. about the handpiece, they have mentioned in the instrument guide tht i got tht thr r 2 choices, an air pressure driven handpiece (which i assume is airotor) n electric handpiece( which i am assuming is the slow piece micro motor). they have mentioned tht most students opt for the electric handpiece.. so now can someone throw light as to exactlt wat type is used for the exam? coz i am practicing on micro motor since with airotor, i end up over preping the tooth...

thnx a lot to all those who are trying n helping us aspirants...🙂

why would you think of going to a 3yr program at nyu vs any 2yr program?

Hello fulldenture

Can u please tell me what could be the differnce while making cavity with air rotor or electric handpiece as they have both high and slow speed in it. Which is most recommended during the exam.

Thank u.

The school has electric handpiece only. It is little heavier than the usual 4 hole air rotor. Has speed setting from 1-40. Both hand pieces are similar its just that this one is just a little heavier. If you are practicing with air rotor you can just put some tape on the back of the hand piece and make it heavier.

Re: electric handpieces, their contra angle heads are larger than the air driven handpiece, they are a little heavier , n they have high torque so dont put too much load on the tooth while cutting, but they also have advantages like precision cutting ,low vibration, smooth operation and less noise. hope that helps!!!

hello fulldentrye
so do u mean they only provide electric handpiece and not air driven high and slow speed?
Coz. they recommend using electric handpiece but still they provide airdriven right?
