•Most Canadian dental schools have a "CDA-structured" interview (including UofT, Western, etc.). Does anyone know what this actually means??? 😕
Do these interviews tend to be open file or closed file interviews (i.e. does the panel have access to our grades and background info. prior/during the interview)? What types of questions are asked (i.e. current events, ethical, or personal)? If someone is able to give me some insight it would be really appreciated. Thanks! 🙂 •••••Hello,
I've only had one interview so far, but I hope this helps:
The interviews are closed file meaning that they don't know anything about you except your name before your interview and don't have access to your records during the interview either. They ask questions that don't really seem to have anything to do with dentistry...they like to ask "What would you do if [insert hypothetical situation here]?". These questions seem to require you to use your life experiences to come up with an answer and seem to be both personal and ethical. Also, they don't seem to ask about you, they just want to know how you would act in certain situations.
Good luck! 🙂 🙂
