UofU(Utah IS) vs UCSF (OOS)

I am so grateful to receive acceptances from both schools and wanted to hear some advice about choosing between them. I am an in state resident in Utah and I am like 90% sure I want to stay in Utah, stay close to my family, and I have always love the UofU's culture and curriculum and its more affordable tuition due to me being instate. I just felt scared making such a important decision in my life as I am an overcautious person.

I also heard so many great things about UCSF and always dream about living in California, but at the same time I am terrified by the living cost. Another thing is that UCSF hasn't send their financial offering yet so I don't know if they offer large amount scholarships. I don't think I will get anything need-based since my parents' income is more like mid to mid-high, but I was wondering how much I could get for merit-based scholarship with a 25AA and 27 science DAT. But I guess it would still be more expensive than UofU even considering that (right?).

Does it matter when I accept the offer? I am scared if I accepted the offer late that there won't be spot left because I heard school accepts more than their seats and I really think I will go to the UofU. Or I could wait? Thank you so much guys. I appreciate your opinions.

Pay attention to deadlines.

UCSF is one of the best schools in the country, but you are right to be cautious with cost of living and lifestyle differences (public transportation). However you can clearly excel. I would at least expect a scholarship to have your (tuition) costs compare to Utah so you can better judge the schools and opportunities.

Please oh please go to UofU. You will love it and set yourself up for major success. I haven't heard a single complaint about the program, and I heard it costs $180k in total for the program if you're in-state.

Edit: 1-year at UCSF is $120k... Looking at around $480k total school cost.

Also I have been hearing poor things about UCSFs program recently, worth talking to current students if you are actually considering the program. But I think you'll be much happier to UofU and it's not even close.
