Hmmm... I guess we have a new mailman on our block because I have recieved two package that DOES NOT belong to my address; i had to go delivered it to my neighbor. Down to my point; does anyone know when UOP sends their acceptance/denial/deferral letters after interviews? I've checked their site and it states that they send out decisions at the end of March... http://www.pacific.edu/admission/PharmD/PharmDcalendar.asp

Just wanna double check w/ anyone out there in case my doped up mailman misplaced my mail. Anyone received anyone... (I am not doing early decision)

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if UOP look heavily on grades and ONLY your GPA(like USN) since its a 3 year program? Or do they care a lot about work experience, extracurricular activities such as pharmacy experience, and Letter of reference as well?

Well in my case, I don't think they are looking at gpa (or they don't lend that heavily like usn) as the only determinant. My grades barely squeezed through their cracks but again i have the other components: exp (hospital tech ~1yr along w/ the tech classes at a CC), EC(clubs, volunteer tutoring), workload(tons of classes during my undergrad), and i guess academic background(B.S degree from uci- 3.15 sucks but i've made improvements every quarter there so that helps). Sadly to say i applied to usn hoping that could be a backup to uop but i haven't had an interview- poor grades? So for sure UOP looks at the overall package and not just one's gpa.

hey hammrage~ letters were sent last week so you should have gotten it or get it this week. I got mine today. I got sorta rejected 😕 basically it said that i wasn't accepted at this time and that my application would be reviewed after march and im a strong enough candidate to be accepted or wait listed. Whatever that means...i hope your news was better than mine!! best of luck and warm wishes 🙂
