UOP Alternate Interview?!!

What are your stats? congrats!
hey man i got the call as well...admissions said i sent in my application too late oh well...i should be there feb 1
So does that mean for the rest of us who haven't heard from UOP yet we can assume we're not getting in or an alternate interview at best??

I had my interview for October, and since i couldn't go they offered other dates including dates after Dec.1st. When I asked if my status will change to "alternate" they said NO. I think that if they do not say that its for the alternate list its not. only what I think....

I have an interview Jan 18th, and they specifically said it is not an alternate.
hey, anyone know if the 300 interviews that UoP says they give (on their status website) out includes the alternate? last i heard from someone here was that they interview 210 and accept 190 for the 140 seats in the class.. maybe there are 90 alternate interviews??

You guys that got "alternate interviews", were you listed as ""re-review in december" on the status page on their website?
Not in my case.I was always under review! But still I do not know what an "Alternate" interview mean🙁 or what are our chances?
I think UoP screens applicants very well before interview, so most of those interviewed are accepted.. They probably send out acceptances to that first batch of interviewees and the alternates have to wait for some of those accepted candidates to choose not to enroll, at which point those with Alternate interviews may get an acceptance..
I guess I need to cross my fingers that those first group get into UCLA and UCSF then🙂

i sent in my app the beginning of october. At first I was pretty bummed to not get a regular interview but then heard back from my state school which was my number one. So many well qualified applicants apply to Uof P its hard to stand out i guess.
