UOP alternate/reapplicant

I just called UOP and it seems like there has been very little movement on the waitlist. So I'm a UOP alternate this year and probably won't make it in for the class of 2013. I was wondering if I could get advice from people who are or have been in my situation as to how I should treat the next application. Did people wait until hearing back from UOP before reapplying? I've been told that might not happen until August.

I can't believe it's already been a year, I'm getting old!

UOP starts school in like a month so you wouldnt have to wait that long if you decide to.
