So I really want to go to University of Pacific considering its near the beach and its a 3 year program. Thing is I'll be an out of state student from Texas.

My question roughly around what score on DAT would I need to get in UoP if my gpa is:::::::

overall: 3.55
Science: 3.52
BCP: 3.6
non-science: 3.74

Aside from that I'll have everything else (volunteer/letter/shadow/stuff like that)

Are you a Texas resident? If so, I wouldn't give up the cheep tuition at Texas schools to go to an out-of-state school. Otherwise, your GPA looks fine - shoot for a 30 on the DAT, but be happy with a 20.

yeh Houston has like..THE cheapest tuition but then its Houston, theres nothing much here so its really really tempting to go to UoP. Plus i HEARD its a 3 year program? If thats true then I'll think of it as subtracting 150k from tuition since other schools are 4year programs.

if your coming for the beach I assure you its colder than you can ever imagine. The sand is warm though so if you really like hot sand and cold ocean water, then SF beach is perfect for you.

I will be attending UOP and my debt upon graduation will probably be pushing $400,000. If I had gotten accepted to Baylor my debt would have been around $160,000 - as an out-of-state resident. I'll let you calculate the difference. You won't ever save that much by graduating 1 year earlier.

Just because Pacific is 3 years does not make it any less expensive, they just pack 4 years of tuition into 3 years.

GPA doesn't mean nearly as much as you DAT score for admission. You'll still need 21+ and apply EARLY. If you get 23+, you might qualify for a small scholarship.

With living costs and tuition, you'll probably pay more going to school here for 1 quarter than you would all four years in Texas.
