UOP "Final Review" status (pre-interview)?

My status on the UOP website just changed from "No Decision; Re-review in January" to "Final Review", and still says to allow 4-8 weeks! Has anyone had this? Do you know what it means? My impression from the posts is that UOP is now interviewing for alternate spots, so I am confused what I'd be under "final review" for that would take another 4-8 weeks... 🙁

I just checked my and it says the same thing. Im guessing that it is probably a no go since they start way early and on average have finished their process earlier than most schools.

My application was complete late summer, so it has been a loooooong time to be under review, the re-review, then final review and so on.... When did you apply?

Same thing for me. I applied in late August and took my DAT in late Sept.

This is how I understood, please correct me if I'm wrong...

As far as I know, you don't have much chance w/ UOP if you haven't interviewed yet...
Coz UOP has high retention rate--> ppl who got accepted in Dec are likely to attend UOP...

I called UOP, theyre done interviewing and are basically finsihed with their selection for this cycle. They told me for those who haven't interviewed yet, letters will be going out soon.

What no way!! I still have mine on March 5th!!!! They can't be done. They're not gonna call me and be like, sorry but we'll have to cancel your interview are they??

i think he meant if you haven't been selected for an interview, then you will receive a rejection letter soon. those with upcoming interviews should be fine.

So in my case with no scheduled interview ... why not just update the status with "rejection" instead of "Final Review" whats is the possible rationale and why does it matter from their standpoint? Hopefully they are not worried about hurting my feelings ... I would just rather know already

sorry about that, what they told me like eldirty says is that if you haven't received an interview invite, you're basically not going to be getting one.

just wait for that rejection letter
depends on where you live
might take some time for the letter to get to you
I think some people have already gotten it
takes some time to send out over 2000 rejection letters

So, they updated the status page today - march 6th - and it still says final review. Why don't they just put it as app denied or something like that? Why keep it on review if the class is full and if they aren't handing out any more interviews?

after the denial letter they will quickly change that..
can't blame them though... its so competitive.
