After USC accepted me, I called UOP to inform them that I want to withdraw their interview invites and today, I received a letter from UOP informing me that they have rejected me.

BMBiology: UOP waitlisted my friend who applied for the 2nd time this year. hope he won't get rejected again. i guess it's getting competitive to get into uop these days.

DaveskisOR: i like your approach! why let them reject us? WE reject them!!!
so are you in med or pharm school?

yah every pharmacy school in CA has become more competitive.

   that is funny dude.

Received the application cancellation letter from UCSF today since I didn't reply to the acceptance. It was hella mean.

Our office sent you an offer of admission that required your reply by April 2, 2003. We have not yet heard from you and the deadline has now passed. Since you did not respond to our office within the timeframe specified, we must assume that you are no longer interested in attending the UCSF School of Pharmacy. The offer of admission has been withdrawn, your application has been canceled, and you are no longeer eligible for fall 2003 admission to the school of pharmacy.

Friendly, huh?

why didn't u reply to ucsf and inform them that you are planning to attend USC?

BMB,

I couldn't muster the energy to say 'no' over the phone, so I just let the deadline pass. This counselor/friend of mine told me to be insidious and defer at UCSF till next year and then go to SC. I'm not sure exactly how the penalty system for that would work if you got caught.

At any rate, the decision has been made, and I'm satisfied with it.
