UOP Letter?

Has anyone got anything from UOP today. I have something waiting at home and i cant make it home for hours?

I got a letter from them today...guess what they are asking for...my application fee, big surprise! Then it talks about how I can review my application on their website. It is a canned letter with my info pasted into it. Thats all.

I bet it's nothing. They already said when they gave you a receipt of your application fee that your application file will be reviewed in August (and that's when you can check online), so at this time it is way too early for anything substantial. I'd bet it is something to confirm that your file is complete and open and that kind of stuff. Don't get too nervous.

Then it is either a letter stating that you are missing some part of you app, an interview invite, or a rejection...again, is it a thick envelope or no?

Or, is it way too early for UOP to be interviewing?

i got the letter you're talking about yesterday...its just informing you that either 1) you need to pay your $75 fee, or 2) you've paid and your application is now under review, and that your status will become available in august. it also explains how to access your status page on their website.


and this is in addition to the original letter they send out saying they got your fee (i got that letter over a month ago).

The thiness of the letter scared the **** outta me. I remember from undergrad apps the thin letters = bad

Just so you guys know, they're going to call you with interview invites long before you get the letter, and I didn't get my call until early september. Last year the first interview date was in mid-october. 👍

do we really have to send in transcripts directly to the school? on that checklist they sent earlier it says to send in official transcripts directly to ADEA, but then on the AADSAS supplemental info for UoP it says to send in official transcripts when an admissions officer contacts you. So now I'm a little confused...I thought the AADSAS official transcript was it.
I've gotten 2 letters from them so far, the one saying they received my fee with a checklist of things they need and then another one saying they received my fee and my file will be activated. They haven't really told me if my application is complete yet, I guess I just have to wait a few days until they start up the app status webpage in Aug...

Yeah, you have to send them an official copy of your transcript.

Unfortunately, AADSAS is a rather redundant service, since most schools request a secondary application and your transcripts anyway. All they really do for the pile of money you send them is verify that you didn't lie when you entered your grades and mail out print-outs of the applications to the schools.

Our fourth week of school starts tomorrow, but it feels like I've been going for about a year. When you get here, you'll be surprised how much you learn in such a short span of time. Our class is really social and outgoing too, sometimes I'm not quite sure how we do it all...

Oh that's right, we don't sleep. 😛
