Has anyone received an interview invitation from UoP recently or aware of the fact that when the next round of interview will be ?

Call and ask. Your chances of getting one increase with every call in my opinion.

I called the school today ~ 3pm, they told me that seats are almost full. They've already sent out tons of invitations who got the DAT scores of 20 and above. Anyone with lower than that maybe invited for alternative spots. 😕

I think it's strange you haven't gotten one already.

i don't know why people keep saying UoP loves high DAT scores. I think it's much harder to get into UoP than Columbia. A 23+ this year pretty much guaranttees you a spot at columbia yet UoP have waitlisted tons of high scorers without an interview so far. Does anyone know what they are looking for in a candidate?

The key to getting into UoP is applying early. I think last year, UoP had filled up all seats by January and were only interviewing for wait-list positions from then on.

I got my interview invite last week. It's scheduled on Jan. 31st (the earliest available date). I applied pretty late and my status was "reviewed, no decision, re-review in January" before it changed to "interview." Is it true that the class is almost full?

Yes and No. Despite the hype, UOP doesn't exactly get a 100% acceptance by those they decide to offer seats to. You'll find people in every class who interviewed as late as end of Feb, Beginning of March, that got into our school. The truth is that it isn't easy with a later interview, but it isn't impossible either. I can name at least a dozen people in our class that interviewed and got in after January. But the important difference is that instead of 98% of the people who interviewed before December getting accepted, the post-Jan crowd is more like a 10-15% acceptance rate.

Actually it was much worse. I first asked if I could check my status and she told me that I'm due for a re-review at the end of the month. Then I asked if that's when they will start giving more interviews and she said "Actually we're giving those interviews right now. Looking at your stats, I say that your DAT will not get you an interview. It's too low, especially with the stats that we're getting. So you're probably not going to get an interview". I just said thank you and hung up. There was no "I'm sorry" or any remorse in her voice. F them, I'm not gonna go there and pay twice as much as other schools anyway (sour grapes talking lol)

Yeah, that plain out sucks, but at least you're not getting the runaround I got from UW when I was applying. I kept getting this "Check's in the mail" BS about getting an interview right up until the rejection.

I think it's because I didn't take the DAT until Aug. 15th (although AADSAS was sent in June), so I was too late...

Congrats on UOP, is that your final decision?

If you don't mind me asking, what was your DAT score that they said was "too low?"

Just got off the phone. sooo, I've been in the rejection pile all along! 😡
Apparently, UoP only accepts DAT results post 2005, and I had thought it was 2 years prior to the APPLICATION year. Don't know why they put my file 'under review' for months. It should have been on hold or something.
Anyhow, thats that. I suppose I was careless.👎

I got an call from them a couple days ago to schedule for an interview, but I'm withdrawing from UoP today...so that's an extra spot for you guys 👍 Good luck!

I just called the school and she said the interview from now till Feb is for alternate positions. I guess I'm out also. I've been reviewed for 6 months.

I haven't heard anything back from UoP either. 😳
