Hi everyone! I just got accepted to USC and was accepted to UOP last fall. I am now trying to decide between these two schools. I like both schools, but I kinda like USC's program a bit more than UOP's since it seems to be more focused on clinical pharmacy and has great connections with nearby hospitals.
My question is, I definitely want to return to Northern California after graduating (for family reasons) and was wondering if it would be harder for me to find a job in NorCal if I graduate from USC, as opposed to UOP, since it seems that all their connections seem to be in SoCal?

I have considered other important factors such as curriculum, student life, and the 3 vs 4 yr program, but getting a job in norcal is also a big factor in my decision. Thanks!

I can't answer your question as far as coming from USC back to NorCal, but I know plenty of people that graduated from UOP and found jobs down south. I imagine that you would be able to find a job somewhere in northern CA, but like you said, it may be just a bit more difficult, although not impossible, coming back up from USC.

From the experience of my friend, she went to USC but found an internship and a job here in NorCal fairly quick after graduation and passing the NAPLEX (within 1 or 2 months for each). For me, I'd go to the school that caters to what I'm looking for, in your case clinical studies and to where I want to go bc I'll be spending years there. Good luck!
