Can i get your guy's input on these 2 schools. I'm having trouble choosing between the two...I like USN's block system but i hear 3 remediations and you're out for a year, and 5 means you're out for good, so it seems really strict. However, USN is still candidate status while UOP has been around for a while and is fully accredited and the people there seem incredibly social and down to earth. I'm also interested in the extracurricular activities available at these schools, do you guys know anything about them? I can't seem to find any for USN. Any input on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

I do not know much about UOP but about USN i surely can suggest you to check their website. You have been accepted to USN and you do not seem to be aware of the fact that USN is a fully accredited university NOT CANDIDATE STATUS like you mentioned in your comment.

I read somwhere that Stockton is 2nd in the nation in car thefts.

Henderson is 20th in greatest place to live but one city away from Las Vegas which is the capitol of car thefts last year. So you have pros and cons there. You get to enjoy your weekends in Vegas, a 20 minute ride away. With Stockton, not only do you get to have a good chance of your car getting stolen, you also get to hang around with the cows during the weekends. Not too shabby.

Where are you getting your information? are you sure it is 3 remediations? I was told by USN that 6 remediations are allowed per year and you can make that up in the summer. Also, USN is fully accredited, as RAY1234 said.

This thread is from 2007, but I want to bring it back for Fall 2009. Does anyone have more comments about the two school that might help others chose one over the other? Any information will be appreciated. Thank you.

If you wanna work in the Bay Area, you'll really wanna go to UOP because of their connections and because UOP graduates are all over the Bay Area. UOP is also an old program so they've got their stuff down.

If you're not planning to work in the Bay Area, (or if you really really wanna work in Southern Nevada or Utah, perhaps), you wanna get your career going a year early and save on tuition, you really like warm weather (summer) and don't mind some cold in the winter, and/or you really really love Vegas (assuming you get accepted to Henderson), or if you don't get into UOP, then USN (now known as Roseman) is good. And speaking as a student here, the curriculum is great so far.
