Hi guys,
Which school would you pick if you get accepted to both schools? Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thanks! 🙂

Tough decision..... i'd be 51% inclined to go to Western over 49% UOP because I'd get to commute from home and experience the LA life. Although I have to say finishing a PharmD in 3 years does sound enticing.

I attend western and interviewed at UOP. It's two complete atmosphere. Half of UOP's pharm students are 21 yrs old, while western's avg age is proly 27 and a lot of much older non traditional students.

I'd consider the area as well. I am from LA, so stockton seemed unusual to me. Western is a much smaller school and the block schedule is pretty cool.

So ya, all depends on what u like

One more reason for me to choose Western over UOP. WOO HOO!
actually for me the age doesnt really matter as long as the program's atmosphere is professional.

But you are right. It depends what im looking for.

According to AACP: First-Year Tuition and Fees for Pharm.D. Degree Programs in 2008–09 is as follows:

University of the Pacific: 31630
Western University: 37836

UOP is accelerated so it'll only take you 3 years to get your PharmD. Plus, I think overall, the tuition is also a little bit cheaper. I go with UOP.

Anyone going to UOP or Western have any advice on this?? 🙂
