Oh sorry for the long reply. Didn't know someone asked me a question!

YES, I was put on hold. I didn't know for a long time because they sent it to a different email address. But when I got the acceptance email, they sent it to the right address.

So no worries. You still have a chance.

UOP is my #1 choice also, but depending on other schools, I MAY change my mind because during my interviews, I was impressed by a couple other schools. I don't know... but most likely (95% sure) I will be in this school.

I hope you get in. It would be nice to meet you.

Does anyone possibly know why it seems UOP is accepting hardly anyone... I know the Roll Call thread is hardly 100% accurate but it just seems they are really stingy with acceptances. 😕


And Fidelio.. how did you hear from UOP? Through an e-mail? Do you mind sharing your stats? Its ok if you don't but I was just wondering because it seems they are really picky this year or something.

They sent me an email. and they also said they WILL send me a letter. As soon as I get the letter I should send my deposit they said.

Actually my stats are pretty average. 3.6 overall and 3.4 science GPA. I had all A's in Chemistry and O Chem, but bio was kind of my downfall a little bit with Bs.

I didn't take the PCAT, but I did research, and volunteer, and pharmacy experience. I know I didn't necessarily have to do all those things but I like keeping myself busy. I went to a University not a Community College, but I don't think that matters to be honest.

I got interviews at all the California schools and a couple outside of California so if you have around my stats, I'd say you'd have a decent chance.

I'm not a 3.8 or 3.9, but the average GPA for UOP is 3.45. I'd say... don't sweat it. I believe if a person applies to several schools they will eventually be accepted to at least one. Good luck to you.

hey dogmom....when i applied to UOP, i was in the last interviews that they had for that year...I ended up getting in...good luck!

So I guess the late interviews are treated equally. Wow, thanks...that's good to know! Now I will feel a little better at my interview next Friday.

Well I'm still on HOLD for UOP and Western but I'm going to go to USC now. I chose it over Midwestern-CPG (a 3 year program like UOP), I just think I'm still young and I have plenty of time, I'm just going to learn a lot these next four years and try to enjoy pharmacy school at USC 😀

Goodluck to everyone still waiting for UOP, i'm pretty sure if I get a spot I'll turn it down so I'm one less person to worry about

The EXACT same thing happened to me..... we just need to hang in there maybe-i'll see you there come Sept... 🙂.

Hang in there everyone. I think UOP getting things rolling. My guess is that interviews may have finished up. I interviewed back on Nov. 17 and 2 weeks later received the email that put many of us in limbo (on hold?, just wait?). Yesterday, I got an email from Veronica Semler with an admittance letter. 🙂 Yeah! I'm hoping there will be much more news (all good of course) from all of you soon.

That's kind of funny. I got a similar letter a few years back, but I was accepted... Not sure man 🙁 Kind of weird sounding letter.

U of P didn't reject me yet, but they sent nothing after they told me that they finished reviewing my course requirements. I wonder if they lost my application....but yeah, it's late march already. I will need to move on then. 😕

Yep, just received my packet with 2 copies as well. Without talking to anyone @ UOP I would assume that one copy is for them and one for our own personal file. BTW, congrats.

Is it true that they interview 250 people and have seats for 200 people?
According to pharmcas, they accept 155. What happen to the 45 seats?
I'm trying to figure out my chances of getting in. All this waiting is killing me.

Here is what I was told:

They interview about 300-350. There are 100-110 spots for transfers, depending on how many of their own they get in. Their waitlist is usually 100 long, with them getting into #40-50 in the waitlist. So you chances of being offered admission if you interviewed are a little less than 50%. I hope this helps..

Anyone know if they finished sending out their acceptances? I interviewed on their last date and am not to sure about my chances getting in, but I'm still holding out hope 😀.
