wow, I'm little bit confused. I been seeing interview invites for some and I'm second batch and today it finally went into under active review. My app was completely finished at the time of 2nd batch mailing. weird stuff.... anyone has this?
 
Happen to me too. First batch here but didn't finish application until late July.

I didn't get an email but I checked my uop portal thing, and it says "under active review" and "Please allow 7-8 weeks..." it says it was last updated 9/4/12. I thought the earlier emails meant it was already under review...I cant remember what the portal said before this. Confusing. I am kinda bummed, 7-8 weeks is a long time to wait.

Also got it. Does anybody have concrete evidence that this is a pre-rejection email? That would really be a bummer.

lol I don't think it's a prerejection email. Why wouldn't they just reject us, if that really is their decision?

Edit: I'm thinking it's probably because of our last name. Mine start with W. Lemme know if I'm wrong..

My last name begins with a "K". Received the same email and am in second batch...I'm really counting on UOP here...:xf:

Status: "Allow 7 to 8 weeks for Review"
Last Updated: 09/06/2012

no "active" review, is this means rejection?? 🙁
 
GPA 3.65-3.75
Check sig for scores

For the record, my last name does not begin with either K or W haha.

I believe the old status was "awaiting" for review

and your status right now is the current one I have and the email states ACTIVE review fyi
 
I think the question to ask is, has anyone who has already submitted an application NOT received this email??

I think it is a polite way of saying that we weren't considered in this batch of interviews and may be considered in the future? I won't hold my breath though.

haha...well looking at how many people on SDN have received the email and the fact that UoP pretty much accepts all they invite...then the chances are slim that it is a sign of an interview. Not to mention those that have received an interview didn't mention receiving this email.

Who knows though
 
My AADSAS status didn't change but in the portal it did to active review... I'm guessing everyone else who just got the email today has the same AADSAS status??

anyhoo.. for those who are wondering.. ddslove789's stats were as follows:

Residency: CA
AADSAS mail-out date: 6/27
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 21/21/23/23/no
GPA (science, overall): 3.31, 3.49

A probing investigation is underway... Yep, UOP Email Gate.
 
My two cents worth after reading all of this...I don't think they've finished sending out all invitations. I mean, they just started. I know a few people who were taken off the waitlist, and accepted to the school a day before this school year began. So I'm pretty sure it's just to send something out, while they start inviting for interviews.

I'm just gonna try to not think about this until Monday, now. 🙂

I just got the email too and I'm 8th batch...

I think it's just because they don't really update the AADSAS status as frequently, so I don't think any earlier batchers need to worry.

Alsooo.. For the record, I heard that UOP doesn't really give invitations to individuals that have DAT scores lower than 20.. and your PAT score is extremely important to them tooo.... soooo mm... yeahh... :T Really I think any type of rejection is based on your DAT scores, not if you got the email that your status is "now under active review"
 
I got the email today too. I'm either 6th or 7th batch (sent everything out early July except DAT scores, which were sent out in the first week of August). I was excited to hear back!..until I saw the 7-8 weeks minimum note =.=' Best of luck to you guys!
 
I got the e-mail too... didn't really think anything of it until I saw this thread. Damn it sdn always ruins everything hahah

Just keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best, there is nothing we can do at this point.
 
Got the e-mail as well, but AADSAS status is not updated. Would be really nice if someone who got an invite would weigh in whether they got this email or not.
 
Just got the email a few hours ago. My AADSAS status hasn't changed with them either. I do recall my UoP status (on their website) saying awaiting to be reviewed, so maybe we are just being reviewed now?

Also, I'm 9th batch.

👍 Everyone on SDN is paranoid. And so am I. We make a good team SDNers 🙄
 
Got the e-mail 6 hours ago as well...not sure which batch I'm in but my file was complete and sent out to the schools on July 6th. Keeping my fingers crossed...
 
Got the email yesterday. I can't really see why they'd go rejecting me but oh well if that is the case:

GPA: 3.7ish
DAT: 24/24/23 (AA/TS/PAT) (RC lowest at 21)
Tons of extracurricular activities
Resident of CA
 
Lol. I got this email as well on like thurs or fri night late. I forget which day. But i didnt think anything of it, ie i didnt consider it a rejection email?? My initial thoughts were oh ok w/e. i also thought i only got it bc they had recently recived my updated dat scores. Hmmm. ok now maybe i should think it was a rejection. Haha w/e. that blows if its true. Oh well, onto the next.
They shouldve just written 'rejected' though. Like wat r they waiting for? No school has made any sort of decision on me yet sooooo if it was at least a rejection, i wouldnt be under REVIEW at so many schools!! Haha akkkkk
 
I was at UOP and asked them regarding this email. It is just nothing 🙂
They have just sent it to let you guys know that they have started reviewing applications.

Just received an interview invitation, so ya this email didn't have a hidden rejection in it...as I previously thought.
