I have applied to UOP along with other schools. UOP provides applicants with an access to check the status on line. According to their website, my application is complete on Sept 1.

There are sections in the status table where two offices, PCHK and PINT need to review and put complete date. I am wondering what those two offices are. PCHK office had reviewed my application on 10/6 but PINT office has not looked at it yet.

Just curious... I would appreciate if anyone can answer this question...

When did you turn in your Pharmcas and the supplementary application to UOP? Thanks!

I think UOP reviews your application according to when you got your application totally completed; this includes the supplemental application sent directly to UOP, and transcripts and recomendation letters sent to PharmCAS. They then categorize you into either tier I, II, or III.

Oct. 3rd puts you into the third tier. PharmCAS still has to calculate your G.P.A before they send an entire print-out of your application file to UOP. Hope this answers your question! 😀

well...my pharmcas was actually submitted early september, so its still tier 3, but the printout was mailed on the third and i sent in my supplementals about a week or two ago. so could it be they just havent processsed everything yet?

also, do you know if people that applied tier 3 have a chance to get in? i heard that tier 3 applicants dont even get interviewed...

Um, i was wondering about the resume you have to submit along with supplementals... did you guys just send a regular resume or did u make a new one just for UOP? Also, did you include contact numbers? (i read somewhere in the FAQs that they want u too?)

Also, on the second supplemental question, i cant think of any "extenuating circumstances" so do i have to answer it?

As for the question about the 14 unit load, do they really mean a "full load"? cuz in my school, 13 units was a full load and ive had a couple of semesters like that...

sorry for all the questions!!

Hmm...did you recieve a letter from UOP saying they've recieved your supplemental application? In this letter, they provide a UOP generated ID number. This number, although they did not tell me what to do with it, is actually useful in checking whether UOP has all your documents. I had to figure this out the hard way!!

Once you have your UOP ID number, go to the 'PharmD Admission' page, then go to the link, 'Check online to see if your PharmCAS application has been received and the status of which items are missing'.

Hope this helps! 🙂

I think a regular professional resume will do the job, with all the important contact numbers listed, since for UOP that's what they want.

As for "extenuating circumstances", I couldn't think of any either. As for a full load, where I go to, 12 units is also full-time. Good question! Best thing to do is actually call them up. 🙂

grrr....they didnt even specify to include phone #s, it was in their FAQs...i think its kinda silly to ask for them like they're actually gonna call each of these places for every applicant..yeah right. Even so, i dont think i have the phone numbers of all the things i did..and some dont even have one (ie clubs) Do you?

I guess i'll call them about all this.. 😡

I don't know what these acronyms mean, but my application was submitted right on the teir 1 deadline - 8/1/2005.

PINT = no date, yet
THST = no date, yet
PCHK = 8/24/2005

I received an invitation to make an interview appointment dated 9/21/2005. Hope this info helps somebody.
