WOOHOO!!!!...I'M IN!!! & I honestly can't believe it! 🙂...all day i had been researching USC's PBL system & came up completely confused...& to add to that, i had just gotten an e-mail from UCSF saying that i'm on the medium alternate list & became so utterly depressed...what does medium alternate mean?!...so i logged on to SDN to see if anyone explained what that meant...found nothing on it, but found that this thread had new posts on it...clicked on it & found that drdentist23 said to check our status online...

now i had checked my status online last night & this morning & found no new changes...so i thought well if UCSF doesn't want me, then UOP won't either...& though USC has accepted me, i wasn't too thrilled abou the PBL thing...still it's better than not being wanted anywhere!...

i logged onto the webapplication status page at UOP & VOILA!...ADMISSION STATUS: ACCEPTED!!!! 🙂...needless to say my UCSF depression & USC confusion thanks so much drdentist23!!...u truly made my day, my week, my month & my year! 🙂...

it's been a long journey of anxiety, insomnia & headaches but that's all over...at least for now!...just wait until dent school starts...those symptoms seem very likely to reappear! 😉...

good luck to all still waiting...have faith that u'll get in somewhere & hopefully that somewhere will be ur 1st, if nto 2nd choice 🙂

Does anyone know when do they let their alternates know if they are in or out or how strong a chance do people on this list stand of getting in? Of course it depends on accepted ones opting for their preferred places. Called them up to find out & left a VM. Maybe we will know after T'givn

I called Pacific and Warren said they don't let us know how many are on the alternate, what is our rank on the alternate... the only information Pacific would give us is they are accepting 22 students. So, if one drops out then the alternates get a chance. So we have to wait until July 2nd to know if we are in or not.

They sent us an email that the status are posted on the website...Also they mentioned that they mailed a letter on Nov 20th...

You have good chances with USC. I am one of the people who got accepted in more than one university and USC was one of them. Do not worry I have already told them to offer my spot to another candidate. I know at least 3 more persons who are going to do the same. Good luck!
