Drat!!!! UoP updated and they said I was not selected for an interview and that they "might" look at my application again in december. More like they decided to reject me but....they'll just take their bloody time. Depressing day, very depressing +pity+. Thought I would give the heads up to everybody who applied who hasn't already checked their status recently. Hopefully you have better luck than me. Good luck all...
 
Everytime I check the page just comes up blank with "Applicants Welcome!" at the top.

That's exactly what mine said. click on the detailed explanation of what that means and, you're right, it sounds to be like a "we really want to reject you but we're gonna wait a little bit" type of rejection. Good luck.

That’s what I have too. I am going to take it as a positive since all I have got is rejections so far, "So your telling me there’s a chance." It may not be much to hang-on to but its all I have got so far, since when have schools ever been polite about rejections. DINI and DENT you never know we could get lucky :luck:.

I'm not upset with how they "let me down." I'm upset because, really, I've let myself down.

No offense, but maybe your pursuit of dental school should begin with a basic english lesson. You managed to misuse "their" twice in one sentence. The poor spelling and grammar found heavily throughout this forum is amazing to me, considering that we're applying for professional graduate school. I just hope you didn't make the same mistake in your personal statement.

Not meant to be a bash, so use it as a bit of constructive criticism to make your application, and in turn, your chances for admission better. I know that it's a forum and all, but come on.

I am with you 100%...the acceptance letters will go out DEC-1st. Some people have multipe acceptance letters so that will open some room for everybody else...hope we get an interview...

anyways, is it better to have Wait listed or DEC revisit...

For all of you who have received those unofficial rejections and words of advice for next year's people:

Find alumni and current students and find out what makes pacific special to them. If that is along your lines of interest, convey that to the school.

For the "re-reviewers" this is not to late as long as your DAT is up to par.

Get on it and start calling alumni and find out if Pacific is for you and if so, make sure the admissions knows this.

Not to pile it on, but I'm pretty sure you are intending to use "you're" and not "your"...and "it's" rather than "its".

So yeah, don't even know why I'm on SDN right now... I definitely have an Ochem lab report to write 😡. Good night and good luck. 👍
 
Hey everyone before I get excited that I didn't get rejected YET:scared:, when did you guys have your AADSAS turned in? My status still says in review, but it may be because I didn't have my AADSAS turned in until AUG 3rd and they may have not completely reviewed my application yet 😱

Mine was turned in on the 30th of May
 
Mine still says in review. I turned my aadsas in early June.
 
mine still says "received/under review"...and I just checked..I turned in my apps mid june..oh pooo
 
Mine just changed today also. Will be re-reviewed in November. I wonder what this means since others are getting December.

Mine changed to re-review in november as well. Not surprising with my low DAT score.
 
UOP received/processed my app 8/30 and my file is still under review.
 
Yea...mine says no decision/will re-review in November...

Is that any different than the people that say re-review in December?

same. if they don't get to our applications soon, we'll be reviewed in november like everyone else...by default 🙄
 
You guys still have hope, a friend of mine got interviewed SUPER late and still got in off the waitinglist. She loves it, well worth waiting for. And they do give you a call to schedule an interview.

I took the DAT early August, submitted AADSAS mid July.

I discussed my schedule with them this morning and they are going out of their way to schedule me on a interview day that works for me, even though not a day they listed as open, just so I don't have to fly out from the east coast twice. How awesome are they?

I heart UOP 😍

Just make sure you do the interview before Dec 1st because they fill a lot of the class then. Good luck and maybe you will see me in the sim lab...not that I spend all of my time there or anything....

i got their interview materials today...they say they will give admissions on the 3rd of dec instead of the 1st this year.
 
Hey OP, if you don't mind me asking, what were you stats?
 
I'm still under review. It feels like it's been forever. Maybe I just want to go there so badly that my patience is running out faster.
