For those gap year folk who aren't doing research (getting published) or in school (receiving new grades) what would be acceptable as "significant" for an update letter if I'd like to show schools I'm still alive? I'm doing a service year and there aren't many tangible results or big accomplishments that happen in my work. I've also written about it in my secondaries already. Thanks!!

You could confirm ongoing engagement and additional hours accumulated in relevant activities, describe any initiatives taken within those roles, affirm ongoing interest in the school, and state why it is a perfect fit for you.
