What is the most accepted form of sending update letters? Do you have to send a typed up snail mail letter or is a professional sounding email sufficient? Also if sending an email do you send it to an admissions counselor or the director of admissions?

I think it's better to send a snail mail letter that way it can be included in your file and not as easily lost as an e-mail.
