Update on Application Status!

SO, I submitted my application almost a month ago. Since it was semi-early on in the application process, I though I must have been ahead of the game. Fast forward to now, I decide to check on my status, and I realize, wow, they haven't received my graduate/professional transcripts... WHY 😕 I give them a call and turns out that I accidentally put "graduate" for one of my semesters of class and that they never even started processing my application! I don't know whether to cry or toss all my DAT books over the balcony.

*sigh* Live and learn I suppose. 🙁

Ouch that sucks. I feel ya though -- I made a similar mistake last year that messed up my GPA--delayed my processing even longer. Don't give up, though--while not early if your app is solid you should still have a great chance of getting in.

You should be fine! Schools are just now sending out secondary application requests so you've still got time. My suggestion to you is to make sure that you send in all your secondary application fees to the schools that you've applied to. That will save you some time once AADSAS finally mails out your application.

I still have to wait 4-6 weeks for transcript verification. My app wasn't too great to begin with, thats why it was a little comforting to know it was submitted early. At least the rep. on the phone said that since the bulk of applications came in during July, it shouldn't take too long to verify my transcripts. 😛

This seems true, since it only took them one week to post my GPAs (transcripts complete on 8/08, verified on 8/15).

Hey tinman, what do you mean you "put "graduate" for one of my semesters of class"? Not quite sure I understand, sorry about the delay on your app but it's still early I'm sure you'll still get an interview for the first round of admissions. Good luck.
