Just wanted to update you guys on my situation. I'm one of the low stat people who goofed around during college and wasnt sure of a career path, yet around graduation decided I wanted to pursue dentistry. Graduated with 2.5 gpa overall, just finished up a semester of retaking Gen Chem II, got an A, also took Physics II and A&P II got B's in both of those. Taking Biochem and spanish for health professionals in the spring, along with Orgo II retake. Hope to make A's in all those classes. Have not taken DAT yet, although plan to take it within a month or two.
So does it sound like I'm on the right track? I shadowed my uncle who is a general dentist for about 6 months on Mondays this year. I may be working for him this summer after spring semester while waiting to hear back from schools. What do you guys think? Am I doing the right thing? Any suggestions?
Thanks 😀
