Hello - updating my fellow colleagues on CN's development.

We now walk in a walker and bump into the wall and bounce off it which is just the best time ever.

Has two teeth

Eats with fingers

Says MaMa and DaDa

Can do calculus on her fingers 😛 😉

pfft, I could do that when I was in the WOMB!

The colorful neonate appears to be developing nicely. Please provide her exact age, so that we can compare to childhood milestone charts that we have in our peds blueprint books. Also, we'll need weight, length, and head circumference charts.

Please update us on the status of the CN's vaccination status.

We look forward to your prompt reply.

this IS the cutest neonate ever !! a giant stress reliever for the rest of us...you HAVE to continue to post photos right thru kindergarden...high school, college......maybe someday we'll get to see the feet too... and Poety, no doubt about it,you will make Grace Thrall look like Marge Simpson...best of luck in match 🙂

Indeed, you also have a heartwarming neonate. Where in the world did this colorful neonate come from? OPD, you haven't bene completely forthcoming.

Explain yourself, please.

I believe I have made previous mention of the existence of PsychDoc offspring.

The one pictured is merely the youngest of the litter, which includes a HeWhoMustNotBeNamed (a less-than-charming floridly adolescent male), LittleMissPsychDoc (of the late hamster, as you may recall), Master HyperPsychDoc (a preschool male), and BabyPsychDoc, as pictured.

As to where neonates come from, I will have you direct that question to your parents--or if they are not available, you might ask on the OB/Gyn forum next door.

I was well aware of littermates referred to as HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, LittleMissPsychDoc of the late hamster, less so of Master HyperPsychDoc, and knew virtually nothing of BabyPsychDoc, who is indeed a captivating neonate in it's own right.

Congratulations, I myself, possess no neonates.

Speaking of the interface between littermates and psychiatry -

My trio were watching Madagascar and there's a line in the movie where someone states "That's because the penguins are psychotic." My 5 year turns to me as says, "Mommy, your patients are psychotic too, do they live at a zoo?"

I find that I have the most interesting conversations with the 5 year old about what Mommy does for a living, which he's distilled down to the following points

- Mommy is a doctor
- She works at a hospital
- She helps people who are too sad, too happy, or hear things in their head that aren't really there

I'm not sure whether I even want to attempt to explain the personality disorders that afflict 60% of my outpt clinic. E.g. "She helps people who can't decide whether to cut themselves or fall in love with the guy next to them on the subway."

HELLO!!!! Arrghhh SDN, I missed most of this thread but I just caught up!

Sazi: CN is precisely 7 mos 3 weeks. She is over the 100% for height and weight - her next check up is Saturday - will fill you in on the exact numbers. She is brilliant - and as Solid eluded to, she HAS BEEN doing calculus in the womb - but I had to curb her from her advancing too quickly since she would only have been frustrated by not having an abacus (sp)

She has now learned to take toys from her littermate who is one month younger - he finds her amusing none the less 😉

OPD: how cute is that littermate you have?? WOWOWOOWOW 😎

And I shall continue to update the pictures, and keep you all posted on her brilliance as it is elucidated daily - inherited from mom (ofcourse)

Here's my CN:

I can't wait for my CN to have more expensive, cooler, with custom painted littermates.
Graduation's only 2 years and change away.

😀
