A paper that I'm on was recently accepted for publication. Would it make sense to update schools that screen pre-secondary (UCs and Vanderbilt) with this information? I know it's not huge, but might it be enough to push me into the "good enough to get a secondary" category if I wasn't already? Or would they not want something at this point?

If you weren't already being considered for a secondary, a paper being accepted for publication really isn't going to push you there.
