Updated CV

If I send an updated CV a couple of weeks before my interview will it supersede the original and be the used during the IV?

No. You can't update the CAF which is the CV portion of ERAS. Even if you could, unless you're updating it with your recent Nobel Prize or first author NEJM or Nature paper, it's not really going to matter much.

I'm actually having a similar issue. I just found out that I'm the 4th author on a paper being published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry. This paper incorporates a 2 year project I did as an undergraduate about ~3-4 years ago. I know it's impossible to update the CAF but should I bother sending this to PDs via e-mail or bringing it to their attention during interviews? Thanks.

Bring several updated copies with you on your interview day. You can hand one off to each interviewer and then you'll have a great kick start by telling them about your updates. At least one of these will then make it into your file.

Tip: Just staple each CV. Don't bind or place in a fancy folder or cover. Also, don't expect to make your copies in the office on your interview day. Really bad form.

:luck:
