I emailed UT on 10/21 to ask when we could expect to hear back and this was the GA's response:
"Typically, applications are processed and reviewed in October, January, and then in April after the cycle closes March 1st. Depending on which application pool your specific application is reviewed in, you will hear within 4-6 weeks after any of those times. For example, if your application fell in October, it would be within 4-6 from around this time."
Hopefully that helps anyone who applied there! Good luck to you all 🙂

Congratulations! Did they email you or did you just have to check the application status?
I am so confused why no one has. Last year, it was the first week of November.
i’m thinking maybe it’s because of covid and everything being virtual

I just emailed them and they said that the first round of interviews will be in early Dec. and they will send out invites in the coming weeks.

I am still waiting to hear back from OSU as well! I also applied to University of Cincinnati, Cleveland State, and Walsh. Has anyone else applied to those? 🙂

I don’t know if that necessarily means you didn’t get an interview invite! They may still be sending more over the coming weeks. You could email OSU to ask!
I agree with MB_OT, I know in years past they've had more than one round of interviews! Hoping you hear from them soon with an invite!!

I emailed the graduate program manager today and asked about interview invitations. She said that they sent out invitations for December interviews yesterday and are working on selecting their candidates for the January interview day. According to her, those invitations should be sent out within the next day or two.
I was invited to apply for the fellowship, and I said "Since I applied for the fellowship and was not offered a December interview, is it safe to assume that I'm not being considered for the program?" (I meant the OTD program, not the fellowship program.) She said "That's correct. Those who are being considered for a fellowship are being interviewed in December." I took this as I am no longer being considered for the OTD program, my best friend (a dental student at OSU) read the email and interpreted that I am no longer being considered for the fellowship and could still be offered a January interview.
Do with that information what you will! I hope that helps out my fellow applicants. Good luck to all, I hope you gain acceptance to your dream program!

Did you hear back yet about a January interview?
I haven’t unfortunately. I’m just assuming I didn’t get in; it’s too hard mentally to have any bit of hope at this point 😅

I wouldn't give up yet! I think they said the January interviews are on the 16th. I heard back about the December interview less than 2 weeks in advance so maybe you will hear back closer to January!!

I haven't heard back, except for the fellowship application. :/ Although I've had Interviews and acceptances from other schools in the country. 🤷♀️

Would anyone mind sharing what the interview process was like? I'm participating in the Jan 16th applicant day.
In December, there was an introduction at the beginning and then a program overview and Q&A at the end. In between, there were three sessions of interviews, where we were split into groups, but it's not a group interview, you speak with the faculty individually. We spoke with four or five separate faculty about different topics related to the program's mission and goals.

I believe tomorrow (the 16th) is their last interview day, they told me that if you are not being considered they are letting you know next week.
