Updating AADSAS application after submission

I know AADSAS allows for academic updates (around Dec. I think?), but do they also also for updates on volunteer or work experience?

Does this even matter to the adcoms?

I'm not 100% on this but I don't think you can on AADSAS but you update the school directly if you think it's that pressing but for the most part it would have to be something BIG! They don't really care if you did 20 extra volunteer hours at that point.

We'll I was thinking if I got a teaching position as a science T.A.

What's kind of a bummer is I'll more than likely find out if I got the job or not by June 25-30th.

I don't want to delay my app. for something that could or could not happen.

I wish they could just speed up the interviews and selection for this job so I could easily list it on my AADSAS app if I get it... 🙁

Maybe........I guess it depends on where you stand....if you interviewed at a school but are on their wait-list, then yes it would probably be a good idea. If you didn't interview with a school and doubt you will, then don't waste your time because I guarantee that wont push you over that hill for them to extend an interview.

I had a very similar instance last cycle with my research job but in all honesty, it's not going to be that important at this point because even if you had the position you wouldn't have many hours of experience to list. In all honesty, your application is pretty much complete now and there's not a whole lot extra you can add.

I'm so nervous!

I know how you feel but just realize that you are all set, your app is basically complete at this time, which is a good feeling cuz you know you're all done and there's nothing much more you can do but also bad cuz you want to feel like you can still add things to improve your application. you can edit your application BEFORE you have submitted it, correct?

On the ADEA's How to Apply to Dental School 2011 Application Cycle pdf file, on some of the slides it says "You may NOT make revisions to this section at any time during the application process" for some of the sections, does this mean that once you enter whatever information it asks -- there is no turning back??? such as for Parent information, or background information, and other sections like Biographic info it says that you may make revisions. So I don't really get it? Thanks

dude, calm down...

Your stats look very competitive so good chances are you will be getting secondary apps (if required by school) and you will get a chance to add and talk about your new (TA) job there...

Thanks for the encouragement.

I'm trying to keep a cool head, but the first time applying can be kind of nerve racking... I want to make things as best as possible 😛
