Since submitting my application, the first weekend possible, I have a couple of things that I have done that would add to my CV. Is it appropriate to send additional info to the programs? If so, what form of media is advised? Snail mail, email?

2/16 so far. Not bad but would feel much better if some more interviews came pouring in!

Unless you think that these things being added to your CV is going to be the difference in an interview or not (unlikely), I wouldn't send them. The exception being if something new happened since you submitted your CV (you just got elected to AOA, got a paper published, etc.). Adding things to your CV now would tell programs, in my opinion, that you weren't thoughful enough to complete it to your satisfaction the first time. That would be a bad thing. If it makes you feel better, I didn't start getting a lot of interview invitations until the first or second week of October. My program isn't even setting up interviews for this year yet.

The only times it is really ok to add things to your application (unless they are hugely significant) is at the time of interview when you can bring in whatever it is that is new, or in a post interview correspondence when you can say, "oh by the way" in a thank you letter or something. Sending in another part of your application a couple of weeks after submitting it smacks of either laziness or being incomplete. Either way it probably isn't a good reflection on you.
