updating applications

question. I've heard from the majority of programs to which I've applied(waiting on 5). I just found out today that a poster I recently presented won an award (nothing big time). I doubt this is going to effect my chances at the remaining 5, but I'm thinking it couldn't hurt programs to know about it, and even of the ones I'm already interviewing at, it might help my rank position.

Is there anyway to tell programs now about things like this? (besides just emailing them)....sorry if this has been discussed previously -- and thanks.

For programs where you already have an interview, bring an updated CV with you. You'll be able to point out the new award.

For programs where you haven't heard, if it's a minor thing I wouldn't bother. As you mentioned, you don't think it will make a difference.
