Updating applications

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
just call up the school and say you have a few things you wish to update. they will tell you what to do.

If you wanna update AMCAS, then just signon to your AMCAS online, make the changes necessary, and just re-submit the application.

There are a few schools that specifically state they don't want anything they haven't requested. All others are fair game. You don't need permission.

I am pretty sure you cannot make changes to amcas once it's already submitted and then just "resubmit". You would have to include extra info in the secondary or in an update letter.

What is generally the best time to update?

After summer? After Fall Grades?

After fall grades come out is a very common time to do this. Many would repeat the process in mid-spring semester to schools where they might be waitlisted or still waiting to hear anything.

Huh? Pretty sure this isn't possible, unless you're talking about updating your contact info or adding more schools.

Is it possible to update your GPA on AMCAS after you have submitted your application? I realize schools you have already applied to, you would need to update with them directly. But if you wanted to submit to more schools, which you can do after you have submitted, can you update your GPA? Or would you have to still update your GPA directly with those schools as well?
