Updating shadowing/community service

So I have already submitted my AADSAS app and had a question. I may take on some short term shadowing or community service hours this summer, but how would I let dental schools know about these experiences if I can't update my application in the fall? Do I email admissions or send them a letter? Or should I bring it up in interviews?

You'll usually have a few chances to update dental schools
1) supplements
2) interviews
3) if you're placed on the wait list, many of these dental schools want updates on your performance and you can mention additions then

I would wait to update at your interview or if you get the supplement and have completed the work, do it then. Think of it this way, you send in your application with everything you have done to date. You get to your interview and they ask, what else have you done since you applied...you can either say, "it's all on my application" or "I've spent 40 hours shadowing a dentist, 34 hours volunteering for XYZ charity"....🙂.
