How many know for sure that you will decline UPENN and give up the Dean's scholarship ?
I'm giving up the dean's scholarship for sure.......however, I am not positive that I'll be turning down Penn........I'm on the AF scholarship so that's why I wont take the dean's scholarship if I go there....

I gave up the scholarship & my spot. Got a letter back from Corky confirming.

hattrack04, it may be too late for you (well, it is actually unless you have already accepted the upenn scholarship) but you could accept the dean's and take a HCSP military scholarship. i'm considering navy and they have this scholarship - so i'd assume the air force does too. anyway it give you a set salary and then you pay your school costs yourself. with the dean's, i found this scholarship program to be more lucrative than the HPSP if attending upenn. the additional cool thing about the HCSP is that it starts giving you time toward pay and retirement while you're actually in dental school. just a thought if you happened to already have accepted the dean's.

Yeah thanks for the info. But I'm almost positive that the HCSP is only available in the navy. Plus, I have already commissioned with the air force....
