I have an interview at Upenn on Nov 7th

I was looking for hotels near Upenn and it seemed every hotels near Upenn are fully booked!
And I found out that the price for the second week of November (around Nov 4-8) is very expensive compared to other weeks.

Since I'm from Canada, I'm just wondering if there are any big events/activities going on in Philadelphia in Nov.

Anyone?

I have the exact same concern... mine is on Nov 6 and all the close hotels are booked. 😕😕

That is unfortunate... I just went this past Friday for an interview there.

My suggestion would just be to try to find a hotel that's near a subway line. I found it relatively easy to take public transportation to the school (subway/bus combo)

the inn at penn is very nice but expensive. did you try the sheraton? its basically on campus

I am going there this Thursday and I booked a Hyatt Regency hotel through priceline for very cheap. I am not sure if all of them are booked for that week, but would definitely recommend priceline.com

Yeah. Those two hotels in Upenn campus on that week are fully booked.

BEST WESTERN @ 22nd/BEN Frank ONLY $89/day if u mention Kornberg school. They had tons of rooms on last thursday and friday. Taxi ride was 10 min and only $12. It was well worth the money over staying at Sheraton @ Penn.

When I checked the availability for each hotel, there are many rooms for other weeks but not for the first week of November!!!

The guy on the phone said "there is something going on that week"
What is it?? 🙄

You could probably switch interview dates if you still can't find a hotel for that week.

there is a quality inn in NJ that you can stay at... it's about a 15-20 minute ride maxx to the school. 👍 oh, and it was 89$ or so...the only annoying thing is that the commute from NJ to penn = 4$ but nothing from Penn back...i mean 4$ in tolls.
