Whatsup, is there anybody here who knows a lot about the Special Science program at Upenn(fro science majors who need to enhance their GPA). I know that it is a one year program, but what about their linkage programs?? I know ontheir site they talk about the "fastrack program" with Robert Wood Johnson SOM(allowing students to avoid their glide year), bt for those who go through the Special Science program, do they also have the same linkage opp. to Drexel, Temple, GWU, and Jefferson SOMs, like those who go through their 2 year programs??

Special Science students cannot link, because link apps are reviewed at the beginning of the program and are based on undergrad GPA and other credentials earned before starting. They are targeted at social science / humanities majors with really good grades.

The prgram with RWJ is not a linkage program, but they review your app over the summer so that if you get in, you can start in the August following the spring when you finish the program.

Also, the difference between Pre-Health and Special Science is not one year vs. two. The Special Science program is for people who have completed most of their pre-reqs and is a flexible program where you can improve your grades by choosing from a variety of upper-level electives.

I just got into Cornell Post-Bacc program and just received an interview for UPenn specialized studies post-bacc. Cornell seems like a new program and there is not much out there about it. UPenn seems to be well established, but there are a couple of posts that are turning me a way slightly.

I was just wondering if anyone has heard about Cornell or experienced Cornell's Post-Bacc program.

Also, I just want to know if there is any more input about Penn. Either positive, negative, or neutral.
