It seems to me that Case seems to attract different applicants than Pitt overall as a school beyond even Case Dental. Why do you think Case tends to get more minority students/academic minded students? Do you think this plays into the student environment at Case making it more competitive/academically challenging or probably not? I ask knowing two students at Pitt whom I have known for a bit and am not underimpressed by their academic achievements but not overwhelmed, while on the other hand several students at Case who I have met have far more impressive academic stats then I have seen at Pitt.
Any thoughts?

I was always under the impression that Case puts a larger percentage of their class into specialties versus Pitt. If anyone can support or refute that, please let us know.

I liked Pitt after I interviewed...Program, students, location, facilties were all great in my view.....both are great schools.....

It is hard to make judgements based on a few students from each school. If you look at the current and past stats, gpa and dat, for both schools, the students who end up going to Pitt are better. As for residency placements rates, I don't know. But I heard that Pitt is pretty respectable at that too.
