It depends on whether you already have the 90 semester hour equivalent that many schools require in order to apply and whether any critical grades will appear on the later transcript (example: a high Biochem grade redeeming a lower OChem grade). Also, some schools refuse to send out transcripts if it's close to the end of a term.My junior semester grades won't be in until early June and I want to submit on June 1.
Is it ok to send in transcripts in early May without my junior spring grades.
I know that I can update after but the gpa will not change.
Being a junior is it better to wait for the grades to come out or apply early?
Thanks
Not for schools with a specific requirement of 90.@Catalystik I have 86 semester units before the spring semester is submitted. Would that still be acceptable
If they did, would I be fine?
I requested an official transcript for myself and it had my classes in progress ( idk what you mean by partial grades)
My last final is the 20th of May but my earliest is the 16th. Hypothetically if one of my classes is submitted and updated on my transcript before the rest can I submit it to amcas with 90 units and three other classes still in progress.
Also is it 90 units not including pass/fail courses.
If your professor submits the grade early, and if your Registrar mails out the transcript by express mail within a few days of your request, it sounds like it should arrive in time for verification to begin soon after your submitted application is received on June 2. And if the queue of other eager applicants isn't too long, you should theoretically be verified promptly. YMMV.I recently spoke to my schools registrar and they will send out partial transcripts.
However, If I send in my partial transcript on May 23rd for example and express mail it, will I be able to submit on June 2 with my transcripts received.
Basically when should transcripts reach/be mailed to AMCAS in order to submit the first day and be verified on the first few days.
So I can submit my app on June 2 and the verification process will depend on when the actual transcripts are received by AMCAS?
Yes.
Will submitting without the transcripts received make a difference rather than waiting till my app is marked received then submitting.
No.
Thanks for all the sound advice

It's June 2 that you can submit.
If your school will allow you to send a transcript in the mid-term period (some don't), then applying with the higher GPA would seem to be in your better interests. If you have the required credits already, I see no downside.Similar problem; I'm a junior, but I know that my spring semester grades will bring my GPA down. I do have >90 semester credits, and none of the classes are premed requirements...would it be best for me to turn in my transcripts without spring 2015 grades, since my gpa will be higher? Are there any negative to turning in a transcript with only 2.5 years of coursework, as opposed to 3?
