Hi
In considering a career in General surgery, with a view to specialising in GI surgery, I was advised by a senior resident that Upper GI training (i.e oesphogeal, heaptobiliary, pancreatic) surgery is more technically demanding and once learnt, can offer a much wider scope of practice than specialising in Colorectal. How true is this?
thanks.
