What upper level classes should I take besides the pre-reqs that would help me gain admission into dental school?

Off the top of my head Biochem 1 and 2, Physical biochem, developmental bio, microbiology, anatomy, genetics, animal behavior.

Yeah my school has them. physical biochem is biochem but with physics and calculus.

What upper level classes should I take besides the pre-reqs that would help me gain admission into dental school?

In my opinion, Cadaver lab (gross anatomy) is the single most helpful pre-health class... Histology is another one. These 2 will make DS1 year alotta-bit easier.

Other heavy hitters that help with admission (but not much with dental school) are biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, maybe even immunology.

Biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, immunology, genetics, basic pharm (if offered), basic histology (if offered), cell bio, microbiology, embryology.

The most important to take "to help" with your application would be: biochem, Anatomy, physiology (or combined), micro, genetics.
