After carefully reading UNC's requirements, I realized that I need to take *all* prerequisite classes again because some of mine are over five years old. They do allow for upper level classes in lieu of repeating all the old courses, but I think (and I'm still waiting on a response, so I could be wrong), that they want a certain number of credit hours for each subject. I have enough to pass through the chemistry and bio requirements, but I need some extra hours for physics (and I don't believe I have to repeat math, but I'll find out). You would think that passing two major engineering exams and working in the engineering field for 11 years, as well as getting a 131 in C/P on the MCAT may show that I have some understanding of physics.

That said, there's a class offered by the physics department called Application of Physics to Bio/Med 1. I was able to sign up for this class, and it's 4 credit hours. Would this fulfill an upper level physics class requirement if the prerequisite needed is Physics 1 & 2? It sounds rather interesting and would enable me to take another science class next semester that might be somewhat applicable. Then I would just sign up for the second class the next semester.

Sadly, this probably won't matter for UNC because those credit hours need to be completed before *applying,* but I figure I should do this just to cover any other medical schools that will not be happy with my college level physics classes completed before 2004.
